North of Taos…
After 128 days and 3,700 miles on the road I’ve returned to Taos, New Mexico, where I began this journey on a cold day in December 2018. Last Autumn I built the Gypsywagen on a friend’s ranch, located about forty miles north of Taos. The “shakedown cruise” of the past four months has provided a wealth of new information and understanding about this vehicle, it’s limitations and it’s capabilities. Now I’m returning to my friend’s ranch in Sunshine Valley, New Mexico to do more work and further perfect the trailer, ie; build the galley, the front luggage box and make progress with the solar electric system. There are other aspects of the coach I expect to develop, all in good time.
Over a lifetime, I’ve found that to create anything is to have a conversation with materials and processes as they apply to a central idea, in this case a modern, compact and affordable travel trailer. Like the journey, the work goes well.

Sounds like a great adventure. The trailer looks great as well.

Love the last photo with the perfectly shaped almost cone mtn. and the sleeping dog. Very nice photo. Perfect desert scene imo. Good luck with all your ideas. I’ve enjoyed reading your posts.
